Meal of Mold

Disgusting. Photographing this set was one of the hardest things I think I ever had to endure.  The smell from these pieces made me want to vomit the entire time, BUT it was totally worth it since Im really enjoying the way they had come out. I just find it sad that I can honestly say I waste food all the time and this time it was literally a full dinner portion. We have chicken parm, carrots and my favorite mashed potatoes. Bon Appetit

The Begining

The photo series I am pursuing would be on decomposition, and waste. What is left behind, what has a human touch but is quickly forgotten. I have recently realized how many things I take for granted that come easy for most of us but not to others such like food and other everyday items, things that we dont even give a second thought too.


To start off the series I was given flowers a while ago and taking care of them was something that never came to mind.  After a while I had realized that yes the flowers themselves had died but a new life force had taken over.  The growth of mold that had begun to grow over the flowers was so interesting and I wanted to see what could happen.  These photos were the outcome.
